Whilst I was away in the Peak District, I decided to get my football fix by visiting Glossop North End, who play in the North West Counties Premier Division. Their opponents for this game were Cheshire based Congleton Town.

As we made our way into the ground, the man working the turnstile had heard of Farsley Celtic, which is always good to hear! The welcome was excellent, helpfully pointing out where to get food and the toilets.

The food was very nice, despite the lack of chips, and was a very good price! The programme was good value at £1.50 with lots of interesting articles. The atmosphere at the ground was very good With Glossop fans young and old cheering on their team throughout, as well as having friendly banter with the Congleton fans.

The match itself was poor, finishing 0-0, as Glossop remained unbeaten.
