The upset of the day came at New Mills as they were defeated 3-2 by Squires Gate thanks to a 90th minute winner by Sam Dickinson. Congleton Town also earned a very respectable 0-0 draw against Division 1 North high-flyers Salford City.

Elsewhere Burscough drew 1-1 with Mossley, Carltln defeated Handsworth Paramore 2-1, Clitheroe held off a late comeback by Seaham Red Star as they won 3-2 and Droyslden defeated Runcorn Linnets 4-0.

Also Evesham defeated Kidsgrove Athletic 3-1, Harrogate Railway staged a late comeback to defeat West Yorkshire rivals Garforth Town 2-1, Gresley drew 0-0 at home to Cleethorpes, Coalville defeated Loughborough Dynamo 2-0 and Newcastle Benfield drew 0-0 with Kendal Town.

In addition Newcastle Town drew 1-1 with Chasetown, Padiham were shocked by Silsden thanks to a Mark Hudson penalty, Radcliffe and Atherton drew 2-2, Goole held Runcorn Town to a 1-1 draw, Spalding United defeated Heanor Town 1-0, Bamber Bridge defeated Stocksbridge 2-0, Spennymoor beat Tadcaster 2-0 also, Warrington won comfortably 4-1 against Barton Old Boys and West Auckland held Darlington to a 1-1 draw.
