An Aaron Hardy penalty was enough to give Farsley three points at home against 2nd placed Northwich Victoria.

Farsley had the first chance of the game when Lewis Nightingale let fly from distance but the ball swerved wide of the goal. Northwich then had a spell of pressure which started off with Goodwin Abadaki turning in the box but shooting straight at Farsley keeper Tom Taylor. Moments later Abadaki had another chance when Burnett squared for him but his effort was smartly saved low down by Taylor. Just after the half-hour Mark Burnett shot in the box but Taylor saved easily.

Ten minutes into the second half Bohan Dixon pulled back Marcus Edwards as he broke away and received a second yellow card, reducing the Vics to ten men. The home side tried to made use of their man advantage when just after the hour mark, Ali Mohamud brought down Robbie O’Brien in the box. Aaron Hardy duly converted the penalty, curling the ball into the corner. Soon after Farsley almost doubled their lead when Marcus Edwards played through a seemingly offside Savory but his shot was well saved by Smith. With less than 5 minutes remaining Edwards sped past the left-back before crossing for Savory who turned the ball goal wards, however Smith made a superb save. Despite some late pressure from Northwich, who pushed for an equaliser, Farsley held on for the three points.
