Mossley produced a smash and grab victory over Farsley AFC, as they came from 3-2 down to win 4-3, thanks to two injury time goals from Mitchell Bryant and Josh Granite, despite Farsley’s domination of the game.

Farsley had the first chance of the game when Adam Priestley went on a mazy dribble into the box before his effort was well saved by Ashley Firth. Soon after Farsley had another great chance to take the lead as Lewis Nightingale’s shot was well saved, before Priestley put the rebound wide. Just after the half hour mark Firth gave Savory a glorious opportunity as he fumbled the ball following a corner, but Savory failed to hit the back of the net. Soon after Mossley scored against the run of play when Dean Warburton beat two players before firing into the bottom corner from 25 yards out. Farsley almost equalised soon after, when St Juste had his shot blocked, however the ball fell to Savory who’s effort was deflected just over. Moments before half-time Farsley got a deserved equaliser when Adam Priestley’s shot was well saved, before James Riley tucked the rebound home.

Just after half time Mossley almost retook the lead when Ryan Barrow played a long ball through to Mitch Bryant who fired over. Just after the half-hour mark Nightingale’s corner was headed goal wards by Savory, but Firth managed to make the save. Soon after St Juste played a beautiful through ball to Savory who’s attempted lob hit the crossbar. Lewis Nightingale also hit the crossbar moments later, however on this occasion St Juste was waiting to lash the ball home. Mossley then got an equaliser when Tom Dean scrambled the ball into the net following a free-kick. Marcus Edwards thought he had won it for Farsley when he slotted the ball past the keeper with less than a minute to go, however there was to be five minutes of added time.
