Farsley followed up their defeat of Darlington with victory against struggling Ossett Town thanks to a winner from Adam Priestley.
The first chance of the game fell to Farsley when Kyle Hancock crossed to James Riley who was only able to head straight at Ossett ‘keeper Brad Dixon. Ossett had an opportunity midway through the first half when Joe Brennan raced through on goal only to see his effort saved by the onrushing Tom Taylor. Farsley then took the lead after Andy Welsh’s cross was headed home by Aiden Savory, his second in two games. Right on the stroke of half time Ossett equalised when Darol Lucas rifled home from all of 30 yards.
Early in the second half Brennan had another chance, however he fired over from the edge of the box. A scrappy period followed with neither side being able to create any clear-cut opportunities, however with less than fifteen minutes remaining a long ball by Taylor was superbly controlled by Preistley before he slotted home. Farsley almost extended their lead in injury time when Lewis Nightingale’s free-kick was tipped over by substitute keeper Rowan Binns. Binns was only in goal because moments before regular ‘keeper Dixon had a nasty collision, and had to go off injured.
