Yorkshire will head into their LV County Championship Division one match against Hampshire without the services of England Star Liam Plunkett, who breached the club’s strict code of discipline after failing to turn up to a pre-match training session. This therefore brings youngster Will Rhodes into the line-up.

Hampshire have called up young wicketkeeper Lewis McManus for his first class debut due to an injury to first choice Adam Wheater. Sean Terry also comes in for Jimmy Adams who is awaiting the birth of his second child, and left arm pace bowler James Tomlinson replaces spinner Danny Briggs. For the first time this season Hampshire will also be able to call on the services of the mercurial West Indian Fidel Edwards who has been signed to fill in for the injured Australian Jackson Bird.
