This week’s Evo-Stik Division 1 North action started with an absolute goal fest on Monday that produced 14 goals in two games. Brighouse Town came from 2-1 down to defeat Prescot Cables 5-3 thanks to a Daniel Facey brace, and four second half goals for Glossop North End, including two from Ashley Stott, helped them see off Harrogate Railway 4-2.

There was no shortage of goals on Tuesday either, with Burscough defeating Trafford 4-1 and Clitheroe prevailing 4-2 against Scarborough after falling 1-0 behind.Bamber Bridge defeated Witton Albion by the same score and Witton have now relieved Scott Dundas of his duties. A 12 minute hat-trick from Jordan Williams in the first half saw Northwich Victoria head into the tunnel at half time 5-1 up away to Droylsden, before Josh Amis added a sixth late on. Mossley defeated New Mills 3-0, and Warrington Town were victorious against Ossett Albion by the same scoreline due to a Ciaran Kilheeney brace. A last minute equaliser from Robbie O’Brien earned Farsley Celtic a point in a 2-2 draw away to 10 man Lancaster city, while Kendal Town and Spennymoor Town played out a goalless draw.
