Next up for Farsley Celtic is an Evo-Stik Division 1 North game with Hyde United at Throstle Nest. Farsley enter the game on the back of consecutive 3-1 wins over Mossley AFC, first in the FA Trophy at Seel Park and then at Throstle Nest in league action. Farsley are currently sitting in 3rd place just three points behind front runners Brighouse Town, who defeated The Celts recently in a 2-1 victory. Farsley will look to extend their three game unbeaten run which includes the two Mossley victories and a 3-0 success at Prescot Cables in the league. However they will be without the services of their two top scorers, James Walshaw who completes the final match of his three game ban, and Richard Marshall who will start his suspension after Farsley’s appeal was rejected. Ryan Serrant is still some time away from returning to the squad, however Peter Davidson should have shaken off a thigh strain he picked up on Tuesday, and Alex Davidson is now fully fit.
Hyde meanwhile have endured a difficult start to the season and lie 16th in the table after collecting just four wins so far this year. In their last outing on Tuesday they were humbled 4-0 by Radcliffe Borough and have won just one of their last six league games, a 3-2 win over strugglers Burscough, however they did defeat Mossley 2-1 in the Manchester Cup during this period. Hyde will have injury concerns over Daniel Pilkington and Ryan Ellison (toe), while Joe Pugh will start his suspension.
So why not come down and cheer on the Celts, the game kicks off at 3pm at Throstle Nest and admission prices are £7 adults, £4 concessions and £1 U16s.
