Farsley Celtic return to league action after their successful FA Trophy exploits as they host Trafford FC at Throstle Nest and will be looking to continue their fine form. Earlier in the season Farsley slumped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Trafford and will be seeking revenge for that loss today.
Farsley are now ten games unbeaten in all competitions and haven’t lost since 17th October when they were beaten by then league leaders Brighouse Town. Since then The Celts have been in imperious form and have recorded notable victories over Barwell (3-2) and Tamworth (4-0) in excellent FA Trophy performances , whilst also defeating promotion rivals Glossop North End (2-0) at Surrey Street. Farsley will once again be without the services of Alex Davidson, however Neil Parsley and John Deacey will have the same squad to pick from as they did in Tuesday’s 4-0 victory over Tamworth.
Trafford currently sit in 7th place just three points behind Farsley, albeit The Celts have two games in hand. Trafford are unbeaten in their last seven league games, and most recently have demolished Ossett Albion (6-0) and Bamber Bridge (4-0) away from home so are in impressive form heading into today’s clash. Trafford have extended Fraser Horsfall’s loan from Huddersfield for a further month, however they have no apparent injury concerns.
So why not come down and cheer on your local team, the game will take place at Throstle Nest with a 3pm kick off, postcode LS28 5BE. Admission prices are £7 adults, £4 concessions and £1 U16s.
